I have advanced training, certification, or special interest in: Veterinary Technician Specialist in Emergency & Critical Care. Fear Free Certified, Recover CPR Certified. I have a special interest in anesthesia, analgesia and am looking to pursue VTS (specialty certification) in that. Also looking to pursue a Certification in Veterinary Pain Practitioner.
Favorite things: Bringing my daughters to work, paying games with my family, reading veterinary journals to stay current with Veterinary Medicine. I like to be outside- running, planting, playing with the girls.
My pets: Socks, a big goofy black and white rescue dog & Louise, a lovely rescued hound mix.
My family and friends describe me as: My older daughter says I’m the “weirdest mom ever”. I LOVE it!
What is it like working at BFVC? I am over the moon to be working at BFVC because the working environment is emotionally and mentally healthy. The medicine is current with gold standard care. I am treated like a family member and my needs and concerns are priority.
What makes for a great day at work? Mary J Blige, Jill Scott, TLC and No Diggity No Doubt. Planning, Communication, everyone helping out and smiling when they do it. Having the opportunity to nurse sick patients back to health.
